We hesitate to write this note, it’s so depressing. A resident recently told us of litter he’d found on Chorleywood Common, at the bench near Shepherd’s Bridge car park. Being community-minded, he tidied the litter up to make the area more pleasant for other Common users and save the Rangers effort – they regularly clear away all sorts of litter. To his horror he found a pair of soiled beach shorts in the mess. We won’t include that picture, it’s awful.
Who is it that thinks this is ok? Our plea to all residents and their families is to enjoy the Common, it’s great, but please leave it as you would wish to find it ! Ditto the rest of Chorleywood, especially the benches at the Shire Road / Parade crossroads, where we regularly clear litter away.
