Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) has issued its draft Tree Strategy for the District.   This sets out the Council’s approach to a range of tree issues, with prioritised actions for 2022-2027.

Herts County Council manage most of the trees on roadside verges and Rights of Way, and TRDC own a substantial number of trees, but no map is provided nor any means of finding out if a tree is owned by HCC or TRDC.  Carpenters Wood is managed by TRDC, but the long-promised hornbeam nursery is not yet there.

We welcome the Strategy, but would like to know more about what work will be done, where, and how progress will be monitored.

See the draft strategy at https://www.threerivers.gov.uk/egcl-page/consultations, and have your say by commenting before 30th September 2021.
