Over recent months we have heard a lot of concerns about vehicles being left idling whilst waiting near the shops in the village centre.
It appears that many people do not realise that, not only does unnecessary idling result in uncalled-for pollution in the atmosphere, but it is also an offence to leave a vehicle idling with a fine of between £20 and £80 possible. This is usually administered by local authorities.
