Water the Trees, Please!

The long dry spell this spring has left the young trees on our verges vulnerable. You can help protect them by adding water to the green watering bag around the base of the tree. This is designed to hold water and gradually release it over a number of hours. This provides targeted moisture which penetrates deeply to aid growth.

You can use whatever waste water you have to spare, there’s no obligation to use tap water, though that’s fine too.

Look for the small slit at the top of the bag and pour the water there which will fill the bag up. The bag will hold water from several watering cans.
