As the hot weather continues the young trees on our verges can quickly dry out and may not recover.
Please check nearby trees and take a few minutes to add some water to the green watering bag around the base of the tree. You can use whatever waste water you have to spare, there’s no obligation to use tap water, though that’s fine too.
Although it will help if you pour the water into the centre around the trunk of the tree, it is best to look for the small slit at the top of the bag and pour the water there which will fill the bag up. The bag will hold water from several watering cans and slowly releases it.
