Fire at The Court

Many residents have raised concerns over what will happen to The Court following the recent fire there. 

The Court is a Grade 2 Listed Building and is therefore subject to controls over what can be done. In some rare cases, after a significant fire, Historic England can delist a Listed property thereby removing protection.

We have engaged with TRDC to get their commitment to resist any attempt to delist the property and to ensure that it is rebuilt in its previous form. To this end, following discussions with us, ward Councillors will be raising this in next week’s Full Council meeting requesting such a commitment.

We will, of course, keep residents informed as matters move forward.
