On Wednesday 18th May Chorleywood Residents’ Association hosted our 2022 AGM and Community meeting at the Memorial Hall.  This was our first in person event in two years, and we were delighted that over 40 residents joined us for the evening.  Wine, soft drinks and nibbles were kindly sponsored by Chorleywood co-op.

Jane Tozer, CRA chair, introduced the meeting with a recap of CRA’s work over the last two years, followed by the formal AGM agenda items.  All motions were voted on and passed unanimously, including the election of the officers and members of the committee.  A new committee member, Rhonda Vanderwood, was welcomed to the committee.

Jane then explained the proposed rule changes which were voted on and adopted unanimously.  With no AOB items the AGM was officially closed.  The draw for the 100 club followed, with Hugh Howes, Richard Dwyer and Marian Trim winning the £10 prizes, and David Hudson the winner of the £100 prize.

Our two guest speakers, Charles Perry and Joanna Hewitson, gave entertaining and interesting presentations on Sustainability and Climate Change, covering the global situation and the steps we can all be taking at a local level.  This was followed by an open Q&A with a further chance to mingle and enjoy the refreshments.

You can download the presentations from the AGM 2022 page on our website here.
