Heronsgate Road was regularly shut for several weeks recently. This has been due to a combination of a water leak (the responsibility of Affinity Water), a collapsed sewer (responsibility of Thames Water) and problems with the road drainage system (responsibility of Hertfordshire Highways). For some time, the various parties were all saying it was down to the others or were doing minimal actions without truly curing the problems.

We are pleased to say that, following a lot of pressure from residents and the Parish Council, Thames Water and Affinity Water have now done their part and Hertfordshire Highways are looking at how they can solve the road drainage issue. We would like to thank Debbie Rosario, Chair of the Parish Council, who committed considerable effort (and arm twisting) to get these issues resolved.
