Our Parade flower beds are starting to show very welcome signs of spring. Unfortunately the plants at the roadside edges suffered from people walking across the beds and drivers treading on plants as they got out of parked cars. Our colleague Lisa took up the challenge, and with help from Chorleywood Parish Council we now have post and rail fencing to protect the plants. This is at no cost to residents, it’s covered by our efficient use of the original grant for the beds.

Please, everyone, don’t sit on the fencing, it’s unsafe so near the road and over time it will break them! As soon as the weather is more friendly Lisa and her team will be out there replacing the dead plants. Our very grateful thanks go to Lisa and CPC for making the village centre more attractive, and the bees will thank them too!
