The 2025 Chorleywood Champions!

Our congratulations and sincere thanks to the Parish Council’s choice of Chorleywood Champions for 2024/5. The Council awarded two Champion awards this year; the two winners have both made huge contributions to the community, but in such different ways it’s not possible to split them.

• Mike Stansfield, for his unstinting work for CRA and so many other local organisations (including Friends of Chorleywood House Estate, Chorleywood u3a, Chorleywood Aid for Ukraine (CAFUKR), Chorleywood Community Orchard, Friends of Chorleywood Signal Box, Precious Paws Cat Rescue and Watford General Hospital) Well done Mike, a well-deserved recognition for all you do for Chorleywood – a true unsung hero!   
• Martin Few and Gill Gibson of The Land of Liberty, Peace & Plenty, for their work raising money for and supporting local charities. Over their 20 years at the pub, their regular Sunday night quizzes have raised nearly £50,000 for a wide range of charities. They also support local charities in many other ways, such as hosting their meetings. Thank you, Gill and Martin!
