Chorleywood Parish Council has arranged a visit to Chorleywood by the Better Health Bus on Monday 13th October, arriving at around 10am until 15:30-15:45. It will be outside Andrew Fleming’s shop on Main Parade.

The Better Health Bus is a mobile health unit offering free services, support, and advice to help communities that struggle to access local health services, aiming to prevent illness and disease.

The bus provides free health checks and stop smoking support in its onboard clinic rooms, to anyone who lives in or is registered to a GP in Hertfordshire and meets the eligibility criteria, see NHS Health Check – NHS

The free 30 minute NHS Health Check can detect early signs of conditions like heart disease, kidney disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and dementia. You’ll answer questions about your lifestyle and medical history and have some measurements taken including a cholesterol test. Your results will be available immediately and the team can organise any relevant onwards referrals.
