Chorleywood Aid for Ukraine was recently delighted – and honoured – to have hosted a visit by Anastasia Stavnichuk, our friend and colleague from Bovary near Kiev, who organises the distribution of the aid and medical supplies you donate or we are able to buy with the financial contributions you make to our work. It was wonderful to see her, to take her to meet local Ukrainian and other supporters, to arrange for her to see something of life in the UK, and to discuss and make plans for the continuing shipment of further help and support.

The visit was a well-earned break for her – but a continuing reminder that the war hasn’t gone away. Ukrainian civilians are still suffering attacks on their houses, schools and hospitals and on the infrastructure – like water and power – which their communities need.

Your help and generosity enables us to continue sending bedding and medical supplies through the shipments made by our friends at Kent Relief. While Anastasia was here our fantastic team of Ukrainian supporters packed around 700 kilos of donations which, all being well, will soon be heading to Ukraine joined with donations from other groups across Southern England. The approach of winter – Chorleywood may get chilly but Bovary becomes bitter! –  makes your support ever more important and needed.
