Watford-based charity Small Acts of Kindness has launched its annual ‘Warm this Winter’ campaign to help vulnerable older people keep warm at home. With rising costs, many face the heart-breaking choice between heating or eating.
You can make a real difference by donating £35 to provide a Warm in Winter gift bag. Each bag is packed with essential keep warm items, including a fleece blanket, hot drink and porridge sachets, plus an information pack signposting to help and support. These bags are gifted free to those aged 55 and over.
For some, these gift bags are life-saving. One recipient shared, “The gift will make such a difference. I lost my heating allowance this winter and I was cold. I will use everything in the bag. It’s not just a small act of kindness—it’s huge and it will keep me warm over the winter months.”
