The March of the Great Affinity Water Main (GAWM)

In February we told you of Affinity Water’s huge project, laying a new water pipe from Heronsgate to Bovingdon. So far they’ve laid the pipe down Rendlesham Way and along Quickley Lane, and it’s now making its way up Hillside Road. We’re pleased to see it’s going much faster than originally planned, and the roads have been left in a really good state. Hillside Road will be finished by the end of this week, we hope, originally the schedule said 24th July!

Next will come Shire Lane to Chalfont Lane, and then straight across Blacketts Wood Drive to Farm Road. We’ll keep you updated on the schedule for the GAWM; we hope they continue to make speedy progress.
