New Parish Clerk

Whilst we are sad that the current Parish Clerk / CEO, Sharon Long, has decided to take up a new opportunity that will allow her to reduce her current considerable commute time, we are delighted that it has been announced that Vanessa Rousseau will be taking up the position from 27th April.

Sharon has taken the Parish Council through a very difficult period and leaves the Council in a much stronger position than when she took over. Along with her team, it is only through her efforts that the Council is now in a very strong position to face the next round of challenges, including local government reorganisation and the new Local Plan finalisation.

Many of you will know Vanessa from her considerable contributions to Chorleywood including her work during the Covid pandemic single handedly setting up and driving the Chorleywood Coronavirus Support Group, as the Chair of Governors at Chorleywood Primary School, her work with Mission Employable and, of course, her activities as an executive member of Chorleywood Residents’ association.
