The Essentials Hub is a community initiative that provides much-needed support to NHS staff and local people struggling with the rising cost of living. Based at Watford General Hospital, the Essentials Hub is a collaboration between West Hertfordshire NHS Trust, the Watford and West Herts Chamber of Commerce, and Sewa Day.
It offers essential items such as food, toiletries, sanitary products, and cleaning items, and plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the haves and have-nots, ensuring that necessities are available to all. The Essentials Hub relies heavily on the support of volunteers and donations.
Donations of non-perishable items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, and toiletries are always welcome and greatly appreciated. These donations go a long way in ensuring that the Hub has enough stock to meet the growing demand for essential items.
Stock levels are particularly low at the moment and some shelves are nearly empty.
So if you or your business can donate such items, please contact me (Mike Stansfield) at mike@chorleywoodresidents.co.uk so and we’ll make arrangements to get them to the Hub.
If you wish to find out more about volunteering, please email lee@watford-chamber.co.uk.
By volunteering or donating to the Essentials Hub, you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those struggling with the rising cost of living.
