We researched a rumour that the 335/336 Arriva Bus service from Watford to Amersham will close soon. It will, however we are advised that a revised service will be introduced from November 19th to provide continuity of service. The new 366 will be an extension of an existing Watford town service in the Bushey area (the 385A), which will be extended from Watford to Rickmansworth and Chorleywood.
There will be a similar number of buses between Chorleywood and Watford, and Cedars Village will continue to be served.
Discussions are ongoing with the operator, Red Rose, and the timetable is with them for registering. We hope to share details with you once the formal paperwork is submitted.
Unfortunately, the new service will not go into Buckinghamshire (Little Chalfont and beyond), because Bucks County Council have declined to contribute to the cross-border 335/336 service. As a result, there will be no bus service west of Green Street.
