Another area the CRA are targeting is Chorleywood Bottom. We are collaborating with residents there to find a solution which works for them and is effective in its implementation.

We have suggested a variety of options, including an elderly people crossing sign, and speed activated signs similar to those on Shire Lane, with flashing lights and a happy or angry face.

We have suggested these because research suggests they reduce speed by on average 31% in 30mph areas, as opposed to a <1mph reduction with a 20mph limit.
