Chorleywood Care (284440) exists to meet the needs of local residents who require a lift to hospital or other appointments.
They have a pool of some 30 drivers and when a request comes in, they are phoned by the duty officer and asked if they are available for this drive. There is no obligation to say “yes” if it is inconvenient – the Duty Officer will just ring someone else. The more drivers they have the easier it is to find someone willing and able. Drivers may put in a claim for expenses if they wish. This service is very much appreciated by the clients who use it.
