On September 20th Chorleywood Care, a voluntary organisation founded in 1977, will reopen its service which offers Chorleywood residents free travel to medical appointments.
The service had to be suspended during the pandemic as many of the drivers were in the vulnerable category. During this period an alternative service was provided by volunteer drivers of the Chorleywood Corona Support Group (CCSG), for which Chorleywood Care would like to extend their thanks.
From September 20th, if you would like to access this service call 01923 284440 between 9am and 1pm from Monday to Friday only. A Duty Officer who will then do their best to find you a driver. Please note that this is not an emergency service. 48 hours notice of any appointment is required and clients must be able to walk unaided.
Although this is a free service, small donations to cover Drivers’ expenses and running costs are appreciated.
