Chorleywood Primary School run an impressive programme on mental health and awareness activities for their pupils. On 9th February we were invited to visit a class and hear all about it, over tea and cakes.

We can’t all be happy all the time, so each class in years 3-6 has a Wellbeing Champion and pupils learn to understand their emotions and deal with challenges. With a Calm Down Corner and Stormbreak techniques, they learn to handle anger and restore communications. There’s also a focus on outdoor activities and enjoying plants and wildlife – who doesn’t feel better after engaging with fresh air, nature and exercise?
