As many residents will be aware, the Friends of Chorleywood Signal Box museum project, suggested by Chorleywood residents, has had to be abandoned due mainly to difficulties from Transport for London’s ongoing support.
However, the research carried out for the displays has been preserved and developed in a book masterminded by Hugh Howes and the committee, as we described in our newsletter last December. The book has received really excellent reviews in the railway press. Sales have been good and there are a few copies still available in Chorleywood Bookshop making it a great Christmas present.
The project will be formally wound up at an AGM for Friends of Chorleywood Signal Box at 7pm on February 8th 2024, both on Zoom and at Owen Edis’s house.
