Last Sunday 12 intrepid striders from Chorleywood u3a’s Striders group walked a 13 mile half marathon from Windsor Race Course to Cookham to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Our leader Rik’s organisation was superb, the weather was lovely, the bonhomie was even better, and we got home in time to see the last 3 sets of Wimbledon’s Men’s final. What a great day!
We’ve raised £13,711 so far. The Striders as pictured below are Dave Rapp, Helen Lynes, Andrew York, Malcolm Green, Jane Tozer, Alan McBride, Gordon Pell, Rik Edwards, Nigel Lanning, Shamoon Karimjee, Dave Carter and Edwina Biucchi.
