The association is mystified as to how percentage increases in Council Tax shown on some recently issued bills have been calculated. Whilst the percentage increase for the Police and Crime Commissioner and the percentage reductions for the Parish Council costs are correctly shown, this does not appear to be the case for other categories.

Whilst bills show an increase of 2.9% for Three Rivers District Council, the actual increase in bills that residents will bear seems to be 4.8%,  an increase of 2.9% shown for Hertfordshire County Council should be 3.4% and an increase shown of 2.0% for Adult Social Care should be 16.9%. There is no apparent reason for these inconsistencies.

We have asked Three Rivers, who issued the bills, for an explanation but have yet to receive one.
