Though the new law appears to have been effective in radically reducing the number of small silver nitrous oxide canisters on the Common, unfortunately we found some much larger canisters. Please do not put these nitrous oxide canisters in the bins. The council need to dispose of these separately, since they are likely to explode when treated with usual household rubbish. If you find any in the village or on the Common, please put them next to the nearest bin, so TRDC or the rangers can dispose of them safely. TRDC have to take these to a specialist recycling centre to be dealt with at significant cost.
