The Friends of Chorleywood House Estate always welcome new volunteers for their fortnightly working parties on a Tuesday morning. These take place between 09.30 and 12.30, with a break for coffee and cake.

We aim to keep the Estate beautiful and accessible for the whole community – cutting back brambles from the footpaths, clearing scrub, looking after the Edwardian Sunken Garden, tending the 200 year old wisteria circle, restoring and cleaning the ponds, AND, as you see, occasionally having a bonfire!

You don’t have to commit to every session – just come when you can. A message is sent out 4 or 5 days before saying where to meet and what to bring. Come and give it a try, and if you become a regular, you get your very own hi-vis gilet with your name on it!
