Investigating phosphate concentrations in the River Chess

Analysis over ten years of the River Chess has shown an increase in phosphate concentrations suggesting an unknown source of phosphate between Solesbridge Lane and Valley Farm Road, Chenies/Sarratt.  

An independent Citizen Science project [coordinated under the auspices of the Chilterns Conservation Board] plans to investigate this further on designated survey days, with volunteers collecting and processing water samples in-situ using portable equipment.
