Notice something different about the village?

Three years ago our Committee member Lisa Stewart suggested improving The Parade and making it safer, by removing the prickly and unkempt hedges to replace them with lovely flower beds. We’ve worked ever since with Chorleywood Parish Council and TRDC, and finally secured funds from the government’s post-Covid Welcome Back Fund, which is aimed at projects to enhance local high streets after Covid. The project is therefore at no cost to our local councils.

We are delighted that finally Lisa’s vision is being implemented, after checking that no nesting birds are being disturbed. The CRA has signed a Service Level Agreement with CPC to maintain the newly planted Parade beds, along with the Memorial Garden which we already maintain. Lisa will lead the work with a team of trusty volunteers – more will be needed, so please get in touch if you might be willing to join the team!”

Planting work should finish by April 29th. We hope the new flower beds bring pride and joy to the village.
