Chorleywood Parish Council has recently appealed the decision by Three Rivers District Council to grant a licence for the new Indian restaurant in Station Approach allowing it to open until the early hours of the morning.

The Parish Council had hoped to avoid this but, with the applicant’s refusal to allow comments from the residents to be considered when the licence was decided by TRDC, the Council felt it had no other option.

Since lodging the appeal, the Council has reached out to the applicant to try and discuss the residents’ concerns so as to reach a mutually acceptable resolution. Unfortunately, the applicant has so far failed to respond to this. The Council has made clear that it wants every business in the Parish to succeed but this can only be achieved with the support of residents.

We support the Council in undertaking this appeal. Like the Council, we want every business in Chorleywood to succeed but this will only happen if they respect their neighbours and other residents of Chorleywood.
