The Friends of Chorleywood Signal Box have published a book based on their research on how the presence of the railway led to the establishment of Chorleywood: Rails to Chorleywood … and beyond. It is on sale in Chorleywood Bookshop for £12 and would make a good Christmas present for Chorleywoodians past and present.
The Friends had planned to turn the empty listed building into an educational museum but sadly the project was abandoned this summer, mainly due to serious difficulties with financing.
