Thames Water action on blocked sewers

We were pleased that Thames Water responded quickly to the last blocked sewer incident in Chorleywood. Now they are targeting a site where blockages have occurred in the past; a blockage monitor has been installed in Whitelands Avenue, which will help them take pre-emptive action before a blockage leads to overspill into our houses and gardens.  
 
Blockages are usually caused by inappropriate items going into the drains.  Please, please, please “Think before you Stink” – no wet wipes or cooking fat in the sewers !
