Three Rivers Museum is in Rickmansworth (next to Watersmeet, as you may well know), but their remit covers the whole of Three Rivers. They are as much the Chorleywood Museum as the Rickmansworth Museum – and really are a ‘museum of local history’.

Fabian Hiscock, Chairman, Three Rivers Museum Trust says “The idea is ‘to tell the story of what it was like to live and work round here’ – where ‘here’ includes Abbots Langley and South Oxhey, Maple Cross and Croxley Green as well as Chorleywood and Rickmansworth. We have a lot to do to provide the full story, but we’re on the trail. Come and see us – and tell us what you’d like us to display, have, present and do, to tell the story of Chorleywood. We don’t have enough yet.”

He asks that you go and visit – and tell them what you’d like them to display, have, present and do, to tell the story of Chorleywood. They don’t have enough yet and are looking for more.

In future CRA newsletters we will share more about the museum – but in the meantime, do visit them. You can get involved – there’s a lot to do in your local museum!
