Remembrance Poppy Appeal – volunteers needed please

Many of you will know David and Judy Cansdale. They stepped in last year at very short notice to organise the annual Poppy Appeal in Chorleywood. With the help of others they raised around £6,000 to help fund the British Legion’s vital work supporting serving personnel, veterans and their families throughout their lives with whatever the need, whenever it’s needed.

They are happy to run the appeal this year, but need some volunteers – can you help? They’d really appreciate your help with the preparation in October, and for a few hours during the first half of November, to collect outside a shop or at the station, and/or to collect door-to-door in your road.
