The Chorleywood Community Shed was launched in September 2024 and meets every week at Bullsland Hall in Chorleywood.

Activities so far have included making bat, bird and bug boxes, crafting Christmas trees out of pallet wood, making rolled beeswax candles, trying willow weaving and a host of other activities. The meetings run from 11:00 – 12:30 and the activity of the day is accompanied by copious amounts of tea, coffee and homemade cake.

The motto of the Shed is “Meet, Make, Mend” so some weeks the group opt to talk rather than “Make” and recently the Shed has also undertaken a few small repairs.

The Shed is hoping to secure permanent premises in the autumn which will allow it to set up a workshop and hold several sessions a week.

The Shed is always open to new members so why not join their mailing list to keep up to date with meetings and events or follow them on Facebook:

The Chorleywood Community Shed is part of a growing Shed movement that now encompasses 850 Sheds across the UK. Most are “Men in Sheds” but there are a growing number of Community Sheds, like the Chorleywood one, which welcome everybody.
