The Chiltern Open Air Museum has a packed programme of events and activities over the coming months including:
- Heritage Crafts Weekend – Saturday 26th July – Sunday 27th July
- Rogues and Highwaymen – Saturday 2nd August – Sunday 3rd August
- Britain at War – Saturday 9th August – Sunday 10th August
- Victorian Weekend – Saturday 16th August – Sunday 17th August
Also between 2nd August and 31st August you can explore The Longest Yarn 2: Britain at War on display at the Museum. This is a spectacular 60-metre knitted and crocheted tapestry marking 80 years since Victory in Europe (VE) Day. Each three-dimensional panel, lovingly stitched by talented volunteer makers, weaves stories of courage, resolve, and everyday life on the British home front during World War II.
There are also demonstrations, workshops, guided tours and other things to do. See https://www.coam.org.uk/events for an up to date calendar.
