We hope you’ve been enjoying the beautiful purple array of geraniums, lavender and asters in the village. It’s been heartening to see so many honey bees, bumble bees and lady birds thriving amongst our plants.

A big thank you to my wonderful, loyal volunteers and the Parish Rangers who have shown up regularly, twice a week, during this prolonged dry spell. I’m afraid, that despite the recent rainfall, we’ll still need to continue with the watering. We also need to start cutting back the lavender shortly, so any volunteers to help with that would be much appreciated; then we can all make our own lavender bags!!

If you are able to spare some time, watering parties are often completed within 20 mins and even 30 mins of weeding can make a big difference. Please contact lisa@chorleywoodresidents.co.uk.
