Oh no! Chorleywood Station underpass gate closed!

Imagine you’re on Lower Road and walking to the Memorial Hall or Common – easy, you walk up the steps and through the station underpass. Now imagine your frustration when you find the underpass gates onto Station Approach are closed!! You have to walk all the way back to Lower Road and round under the railway bridge, that’s 15 minutes of your life that you’re not going to get back. It’s not supposed to happen – but it has happened recently, both during the tube strike and when the line was closed for track repairs.

We’ve raised this with our contact at TfL, and pointed out this is a route that TfL promised to keep open. They’ve passed the information on to the TfL Area Manager, so fingers crossed it won’t happen again. If it does, please let us know asap
