Save Britain’s hedgehogs

A petition has been raised to Steve Reed, Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government which states:

“Help save our hedgehogs by making it a legal rule that all new houses built in the UK must include hedgehog highways.”

At the time of writing it has over 58,000 signatures against an initial target of 100,000.

Hedgehogs are disappearing. Their numbers have crashed by at least 30% in just ten years. They’re now officially listed as near threatened.
