Splutters from individuals on the CRA Executive who have looked at their records of per head consumption on their Affinity Water bills. Have you looked at yours? 125L per person per day is the target.

To put this into perspective, the 125L per person per day is said to be approximately half a wheelie bin (see illustration). Or over twelve 10L watering cans.

The new hose pipe ban may accelerate the re-use of “grey water” run-off from showers and other household uses for plant watering. DIY aficionados have been known to use water-butt diverters from selected downpipes. Ideas welcome!
