Following their successful venture into pickleball, Chorleywood u3a is looking at launching a padel group to play at the beautiful Chesham 1979 courts on Wednesday mornings.

Padel is the other new racket sport now growing at an astronomical rate. A mix between short tennis and squash, it is played generally as doubles on a small court with glass rear walls. It is easy to learn with an under arm serve, very social and great fun. It is ideal for the older player being relatively low impact with emphasis on placement rather than strength.

Apart from membership of Chorleywood u3a, the only cost is a share of the court hire fee. Equipment provided and coaching can be arranged.

Membership of Chorleywood u3a is now half price at only £12.50 until August 2026.
