We are appealing for community support!

A small team of local residents (Chorleywood Christmas Festival Committee) are working together to bring back a Chorleywood Christmas Festival this year, set for Friday 3rd December 2021 between 4:30pm and 8pm.

The aim is for local businesses, families and friends to celebrate Christmas in the village centre whilst enjoying Christmas Carols, Choirs, children’s rides and other festive community stalls. Due to the risk of Covid restrictions being re-introduced, the event in the village centre has been kept to a slightly smaller scale but still allowing the community to gather together safely to celebrate the festive season in style.

The main attraction this year and back by popular demand will be the sensational Santa’s Rock ‘N’ Roadshow, which will travel across the main Chorleywood roads to reach as many homes as possible, making its final stop in the centre of the village (outside Rootz) for around 7pm. It will then park up for half an hour as onboard Disney characters et al will treat villagers to a performance to remember!

A critical part of the event organisation is to ensure we have enough support so that our operations run smoothly. This includes event set up, road marshalling at designated hot spots, clear up operations and litter picking.

Can you help us set up during the day, or in the evening’s tasks?  If you can spare an hour or two we’d be very grateful.  The more helpers we have, the lighter the work for everyone.
