Local resident Brent Millane previously ran four ultra-marathons (400 miles) for Mission EmployAble, with his son Luke supporting him during those gruelling 24-hour races. Now, 19-year-old Luke is ready to take the lead. On September 13th, he will attempt to break the British record for the longest run by a teenager, aiming to cover 110 miles in just 24 hours.

Luke expressed his excitement, saying, “Apart from breaking a record, I really want to do this for Mission EmployAble, just as my dad did. The charity has grown into a wonderful community.

Having deep roots in the area, Luke encourages everyone to cheer for him as he trains around the common in his Mission EmployAble running top. Let’s rally behind Luke and his incredible challenge to break the British record while supporting a great local cause. Good luck, Luke! We can’t wait to see you zooming past the café during your trial runs!
