Mission EmployAble proudly marks the start of 5 years of supporting and training young adults with learning disabilities! On January 16th, the Café on the Common turns 3, welcoming the community from Chorleywood and surrounding towns.

The café is thriving, giving 14 interns real work experience, confidence, and employable skills. Huge congratulations to local resident, Claudine Hall, promoted to Employment Partner Manager – a driving force in connecting graduates with employers, bringing heart and passion to the role every day.

To celebrate, we’ve launched “Gift a Cup of Kindness”, a new initiative where customers can make a small £2.50 donation at the café. Gift vouchers are also now available – perfect for family and friends.

We’re so grateful to our community. Special thanks to The Land of Liberty for their quiz-night support, and Flo Garvey, running Zumba classes in February, donating 50% of proceeds. Our Christmas raffle raised an amazing £1,700, with all 4 prize winners from our local café community.

Thank you to everyone who makes the café and charity so special – here’s to another fantastic year!

1st Prize – Louise Stevens

2nd Prize Hilary & Daniel Woolley
