Grit / Salt Bins

With the recent very cold weather making our roads and pavements icy and treacherous, the topic of missing and insufficient salt bins came to CRA’s attention. 

The bins are provided by Hertfordshire County Council. On their Salt bins in Hertfordshire website page you can see a map of their locations as well as report missing bins.

There is a link to request additional bins, but this takes you to making a request to your local county councillor which in Chorleywood’s case is Louise Price. There seems to be a limit of one new salt bin per season per councillor which we have questioned, but not so far received confirmation.

Hopefully we won’t need to be using them again this winter!
