200 years old, and still going strong!

The wisteria circle near the Lawn Tennis Club on Chorleywood House Estate was planted in 1826 by John Papworth. The “Friends of CW House Estate” have arranged for it to be pruned and trained by specialists who will design new supports which will hopefully keep it flowering for another two centuries.

This is one of the many projects undertaken by the “Friends” to keep the Estate beautiful, and accessible to all. They would love to have more members to encourage and support them by making an annual donation of £5 (or more).

Lady Ela’s Summer House on Chorleywood House Estate will not be opening this Easter, but will be open for the May, Spring and Summer Bank holidays as usual.
