Our High Street – “Use it or Lose it”

The last year has seen various changes in our high street. Higgins is under new management and as you’ll have seen has had a major revamp. Their range of pre-prepared meals has increased, including some very tasty stir fry options, and they also sell some lovely varieties of bread. 

We have two new salons in the village; Embrace Hair & Beauty, which has had a lovely make over and now looks beautiful and clean and Grace & Glow, again, with another makeover. Don’t forget to support Lords too, with our brilliant Post Office where you can pay in any cheques (not Lloyds) and withdraw cash.

We appreciate that sometimes we may pay a little more for things in the high street than we do in the superstores, but we’re paying for the quality and the convenience.  If we don’t use them, then we know that we lose them and there’s nothing more depressing than empty shops. Some residents need to shop locally, so for them it’s even more important that we keep as much as diversity as possible within our high street. Please try to use local first.
