A message from Mission EmployAble …

Mission EmployAble has certainly had a busy few months, the sort of busy where the diary fills up faster than the coffee machine can keep up!

We celebrated the graduation of our latest interns on Friday 3rd July. It was a wonderful afternoon, full of proud moments, big smiles, and a reminder of just how far our young people have come. The photos really do tell the story.

Our friends at Chorleywood u3a have also been busy putting their walking shoes to good use, raising over £12,800 through their fundraising challenge. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces, including many of our Café on the Common customers, walking in support of Mission EmployAble.

We also have some exciting news – Mission EmployAble has been selected as a finalist in the Community category of the BBC Three Counties Radio Make a Difference Awards. We’re still pinching ourselves and look forward to the awards evening on 28th September.

On 8th September, we’ll be welcoming our new interns as they begin their Mission EmployAble journey with us. We know the Chorleywood community will be there to encourage them as they build confidence, develop new skills and take their next steps.

It’s certainly been a busy summer, with a few very hot days thrown in too, but as always, the support, kindness and encouragement from our community makes all the difference.

Thank you, Chorleywood, you really are amazing.
