As you will no doubt have seen, the flowerbeds are really flourishing. It’s been heartening to see lots of honey and bumble bees feasting on the geraniums and the lavender. It’s taken a great deal of work and watering to get to this stage, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped with the valuable watering. It’s been lovely meeting new residents of all ages. Our watering would not be possible without the wonderful team of rangers at Chorleywood Parish Council, so our grateful thanks to them as well.
We have received many lovely comments whilst carrying out our work, which are much appreciated. Less appreciated are the thoughtless few who seem incapable of using pavements and have just trampled across and obliterated nearly 20 of our lavender plants. It is heartbreaking to see. If anyone has any spare Hidcote lavender plants to donate, we’d love to be able to replace some! Monetary donations to help with all the upkeep would be gratefully received too!
Weeding, watering, pruning and bulb planting are just some of our jobs, so all volunteers are extremely welcome. Please email lisa@chorleywoodresidents.co.uk if you’d like to get involved.
