Appeal for volunteers to ‘adopt’ new lifesaving defibrillators

Three Rivers District Council are seeking volunteers to look after new lifesaving defibrillators which are set to be installed across Three Rivers district. Volunteers would be asked to give up five minutes a month to regularly check the equipment is in working order and to report back any problems.

The funding from TRDC will allow for at least 10 additional defibrillators prioritising areas where nothing is available 24/7 and includes an additional one in Chorleywood.

You can use a website such as https://www.defibfinder.uk/ to identify nearby defibrillators. For obvious reasons this is not intended for use in an emergency situation when you should call 999. This website gets its information from “The Circuit” which is the national defibrillator network used by all 14 UK ambulance services.
