The Government has announced that it plans for all councils that currently have two tiers (County and District) to become unitary, with just one level of council. This will impact us in Hertfordshire.
The Government required all councils impacted to provide an interim submission on their proposals to the plans by 21st March. The submission for Hertfordshire can be found at https://www.threerivers.gov.uk/joint-response-submitted
As part of the preparation of this, TRDC undertook a very short consultation with local bodies and organisations. We responded to this with our initial views. The CRA response can be found here.
We understand that, as the process continues, the Council will undertake wider and more in-depth consultations with residents as well as local bodies and organisations.
